Childcare Centre:

Resource consent has recently been granted on the site for a service station, ten retail units, a food and beverage outlet and some 1,134m2 of industrial units. It is now proposed to replace these industrial units with a 125 space childcare centre.

The childcare centre will be capable of caring for up to 125 children and is expected to have 13 full time employees (FTE) working between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm with core hours operating between 9am and 3pm.

The childcare centre is located at the rear of the site. Its core hours are between 9am and 3pm. The majority of caregivers are likely to be dropping off before travelling to work (7.30am-9am) and picking up after work (4pm-5.30pm). As part of the proposal, a mini-van service will be offered to collect and drop off children.
