New Brewery & Pub
- Location - Te Rapa
- Council - Hamilton City
It is proposed that a new brewery will be established as the primary use but will comprise of:
- New brewery and customs controlled area
- New tasting room/bar (on licence) including space for off license sales
- Single office and food preparation area for reheated of pre- prepared food
- Storage of ingredients
The operation will be contained within the footprint of the existing building and it is expected that the daily production of beer in predominantly kegs and some bottles will be a maximum of 2400 litres.
Vehicle movements per day are estimated at 4 for the brewing including staff and deliveries; and 15-30 per day for patrons to the bar/tasting /off licence area with a maximum of 30 patrons at one time. These do not exceed the 250 per day requirement. Deliveries will be made using the brewery’s own vehicle parked within the premises.
Hours of operation are from 5.00am to 10.00pm. Staff will be involved either in the brewing operation which may start at 5.00am, or in the preparation of food and bar service. It is expected that 2 staff will be on site at one time and up to 30 patrons during the hours where both the on and off licence facility will operate. It is expected that the licence will operate from 11.00am to 10.00pm.
